Mentors and students in the Mentor Program come from a variety of industries and backgrounds. To maximize the benefits of this diversity, CBSI requires active student engagement in mentor activities throughout the program. Mentors are expected to host at least two opportunities for connection. Students must attend at least one of these events hosted by their direct mentor and one hosted by another mentor. This approach ensures that students gain valuable insights from multiple mentors, enhancing their learning experience throughout the program. Engagement Activity Ideas: As a mentor, you are required to host two engagement activities outside of your direct mentors. These can be curated for a small group 5-10 or for all mentees (75-90). Some mentors struggle to think of ways to share their unique skills outside of their direct mentorship relationships. The following examples are provided to jumpstart your ideation. Share a success story for a chance to be featured in an upcoming CBSI or CBSA communication The Institute is proud of the strong relationships that are built through the Mentor Program. Please share your success story with our community. Fill out this form or send an email to Lisa Wilder. Note: As a nonprofit, CBSI does not have funds to support the suggested activities.
